Sellaronda
Ski circuit around the Sella MassifThe Sellaronda (also known as the 4-Pass Tour or Sella Circuit) is a network of ski slopes encircling the Sella Massif and is part of the Dolomiti Superski area. This ski circuit in the Dolomites, made up of alternating easy blue and moderately difficult red slopes, covers a total of 26 kilometres of pistes and can be completed in either direction.
The Sellaronda is only partially suitable for beginners, as it is a full-day tour and requires a certain level of fitness. The various slopes of the Sellaronda are connected by a series of ski lifts and can all be accessed with a single ski pass, the Dolomiti Superski Pass. In 2020, the Sellaronda was awarded the "Best Ski Circuit" certificate by skiresort.de and is undoubtedly one of the most impressive ski circuits in South Tyrol and the entire Alpine region.

Four valleys in the heart of the DolomitesThe Sellaronda ski area is framed by four renowned Ladin Dolomite valleys. Starting in the northwest and moving clockwise, these are Val Gardena (Grödnertal), followed by Val Badia (Gadertal) in the northeast, the ski region of Arabba (Fodom) in the southeast, and finally Val di Fassa (Fassatal) in the southwest.
From each starting point—be it Selva Gardena, Colfosco, Corvara, Arabba, or Canazei - the Sellaronda can be skied in either a clockwise (orange route) or counter-clockwise (green route) direction. The full circuit, which crosses the Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi, and Passo Sella, typically takes around 6 hours to complete, including the use of ski lifts and breaks at mountain huts.

TipsTo make the most of your Sellaronda adventure, it’s best to start before 10:00 am, allowing you to complete the circuit at a relaxed and enjoyable pace. Make sure to cross the final pass by 3:30 pm and plan to exit the ski area in time for the last lift, as the Sellaronda closes promptly at 5:00 pm. Always check weather conditions in advance—poor weather, like heavy snowfall or strong winds, may lead to the closure of lifts or make the circuit unsafe.
